Roadkill, salt, blue paint, hunting camera, projector
2018
This video documents the decay of a roadkill deer over the course of two months. Shot with a hunting camera from above, the video uses a technology of surveillance to witness the slow process of decay. My interventions into the process -- recording, covering, and preserving the body-- seek to question our fascination, disgust, and limitations in understanding death.
