Caim in Death

Roadkill, salt, blue paint, hunting camera, projector

This deer was found on the road, just dead and still warm. It was loaded into my CRV and carried into an area of woods. The scene of decomposition was set, recored for two months, and then cleaned at the end of the process. The video record brings us into converstation with process of decay. My intervensions into the process -- recording, covering, and preserving the body-- seek to question our facination, digust, and limitations in undestanding death.
