How To Hold
Solo Exhibition in Dallas, TXHow to Hold continues a conversation about systems that defy human containment. The work How to Hold the Border recreates a border blimp as a tethered balloon that leaks air, needing to be constantly fed to stay afloat. Each work in the exhibition attempts to hold an intangible element – air, sun, or water. In their collective failure to do so, they illustrate the paradox of the human impulse to control and the error in attempting to own any life-giving resource.
